no.02 — how it works

four steps. one bag. no thinking.

If you can put it in a bag, we can wash it. The system was built for the version of you that is hungover, slept-through-an-alarm, and somehow has no clean socks.

01

book a pickup

Choose your slot online. Tuesday morning, Thursday evening, whatever fits. One tap once your card's saved.

02

leave the bag

Outside your door, in the hall lobby — wherever we agree. We text when we arrive. No queue. No quarters.

03

we spin it

Wash, dry, fold. Photographed at pickup and handback. You get SMS updates the whole way through.

04

back at yours

Inside 48 hours. Folded. Smelling clean. With this cycle's mixtape QR taped to the side.

the bag stays. you keep it. it's yours.
no.03 — the bag

the bag is the brand.
and the bag gets better.

Every Founder gets a Standard bag at launch. The more cycles you do, the better the bag gets. Stitched upgrades, hidden tags, embroidered detail. You don't ask for them. They show up.

no.04 — promise

the founder's guarantee

Any week we miss a pickup or return your laundry late — that week is free.

And if you ever quit because we let you down — not because you graduated, moved out, or just lost interest — we'll write a £20 cheque to your favourite Exeter society as an apology.

Conditional. Named. With teeth. Because we mean it.

no.05 — for the parents

for the parent reading over their shoulder.

The Spins is run by one student, in Exeter, with insurance, a Companies House filing, and a real guarantee. Here's what that looks like.

  • Monthly SMS to you."Your kid did laundry this week." That's the whole peace-of-mind subscription. Off by default — only sent if your kid opts you in.
  • £
Locked-in Founder pricing.£90 for the term as long as your kid is at Exeter. No annual hikes, no surprise top-ups, no creep.
  • Insured, ICO-registered, trademarked.Public liability cover, GDPR-compliant data handling, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. Trademark application filed at UK IPO.
  • Cancel any time.Reply STOP. No re-billing, no exit form. And if we let your kid down, we send £20 to their favourite Exeter society on the way out.
  • One person. Same face. Your kid's phone. It's the same student every week — Leander, in person, with your kid's name in his phone. Not a gig driver who's never been to Exeter.

what the monthly text looks like:

Hi — just letting you know Sam did 4 weeks of laundry in October. All on time, no issues. Next pickup Mon 4 Nov. The Spins · 19:42

One text a month. Plain English. No marketing.

no.06 — who

i'm not a laundry company.
i'm just a student who got fed up.

I'm Leander. I'm starting at Exeter this September. I talked to a lot of students. They all said the same thing: the laundrette's a queue, the machines in halls are constantly broken, and a Sunday spent on it is a Sunday wasted.

So I'm doing something about it. I've spent months designing the bag, building the brand, lining up laundromat partners. The Spins is a real service with real insurance and a real guarantee — but it's run by one person, on a bike, with a trailer.

The Founder Cohort is the first 50 households I take on. Locked-in rate for as long as you're at Exeter. Free Founder Bag. Invite to the launch party. Your name's on the wall at the partner laundrette.

After that, the price goes up — and I close the route until I've got more capacity. So if you want in, get in now.

half the price. zero of the time.

no.09 — questions

the ten things people ask first.

£15 a week is too expensive.
It's £7.50 a week if you're in the Founder Cohort — half what Love2Laundry charges for a single bag. And you don't have to think about it again until January.
what if you lose my stuff?
We photograph every bag at pickup with an order tag. If something goes missing we pay you £10 per garment, no arguments. We've built the whole service around not losing your hoodie.
can my parents pay for it?
Yes. Parents pay, you live. We'll send them a monthly text saying "your kid did laundry this week" — that's their whole peace-of-mind subscription. parent page →
why not just use Laundryheap?
Laundryheap is fine if you live in Slough and like talking to a chatbot. We're a guy on a bike who'll text you when your bag's outside your door.
Love2Laundry has free pickup too.
Free pickup, sure. Free Founder Bag, free first wash, locked-in pricing for the rest of uni, party at Bubble It in week 12? Not so much.
my mate uses Washstation, it's fine.
Right up until the app charges you £4.80 for a wash that doesn't happen. Or the dryer eats the only socks you packed. Or the queue. Or the queue.
i'll just go to the launderette myself.
Cool, that's £14 a week + 90 minutes + a wet walk home in Exeter rain. We're £15 and zero minutes. Do the math once, never again.
Laundryheap has 7% off for students.
Their student discount saves you £1.32 a bag. Our Founder Cohort saves you £90 for the term. Pick a number.
i don't trust handing my clothes to a stranger.
Fair. That's why it's the same person every week — me, in person, with your name in my phone. Not a gig driver who's never been to Exeter.
what if i want to quit?
Reply STOP on WhatsApp, done. No re-billing, no exit form. And if we let you down, we'll send £20 to your favourite Exeter society on your way out.
